WHAT'S NEW?

Searsucker - San Diego
It’s been a year since San Diego's own "top chef" Brian Malarkey whipped up a plate of crab cakes for local diners, but the wait is over. Dinner is officially served at Malarkey's new Searsucker restaurant and bar in the Gaslamp Quarter.

The 8,000-square-foot Searsucker ---- a joint venture with Stingaree impresario James Brennan is situated at the busy corner of Fifth and Market. Searsucker's is in an enviable position: a famous chef at its helm, a successful nightclub owner running the bar operation, and one of the best locations in town.

Inside Searsucker, a modern and industrial edge is softened by an overflow of comfy couches, Oriental rugs, textured animal patterns, and understated graphics that simply read “EAT” in black and white. There are no secrets at Searsucker – the open kitchen invites patrons to be a part of the culinary experience from start to finish while smelling every flavor along the way. Call The Event Team today if your group is looking for a one-of-a-kind San Diego dining experience!.

Tend
Whether showcasing the inherent artistry in nature or just bringing life to the spaces we inhabit, Tend frees our green world from the dull confines of amacrame geranium baskets and tired terracotta. Santa Monica Place
After shutting it's doors for a major overhaul in 2008, the Frank Gehry designed Santa Monica Place mall immortalized in films like Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Terminator 2 reopened on August 6th at the south end of the Third Street Promenade. The redesign removed the roof and gutted the interior to better take advantage of the mall's location steps away from the beach. With six fine dining restaurants and a brand-new food court, the mall also aims to become a culinary destination. Reports claim that The Macerich Co. has poured over $260 million into the 550,000 sq. foot shopping destination over the past two years. Louis Vuitton and Tiffany & Co. recently signed deals to open in the revamped Santa Monica Place. Barneys Co-op, Betsey Johnson, Johnny Was and Tous have also signed on. Other retailers at Santa Monica Place include Nordstrom, Bloomingdale's, Burberry, Michael Kors, Kitson and Tory Burch. Call the Event Team if you'd like us to set up a shopping tour for your Los Angeles group!
